We are striving to provide our members with money saving opportunities. Our current member benefits include:

General Liability Insurance: This insurance is automatically included for all Primary and Secondary Event Owner Members. General Aggregate $2,000,000, Personal & Advertising Injury $1,000,000, Each Occurrence $1,000,000, Damage to Premise Rented to You $100,000, Medical Expense $5,000. Certificate of Coverage with an additional insured listed is $50 per additional insured named and expires on 12/31 of the year issued. Additional COC can be issued for $50 each. Deductible is $250. 

Trinity-HPSI Discount Program: Discounts at Staples, Office Depot, Lowe's, and many more stores.

Partnership with a National Leasing Company: Take the stress out of finding and securing a new location.

Virtual Trainings and Symposiums: We offer quarterly trainings on a variety of topics such as Airtable, Canva, Instagram, and more. Coming in June 2024 we are hosting a 3-day virtual conference on Zoom for members only filled with business related topics from excellent speakers as well as hands on workshops, sale focused roundtables, and panel discussions. 

Member-Only Facebook Group: Connect with other sale owners around the nation in a private forum.

Membership Levels & Information

Primary Event Owners: Any person who independently owns at least 25% of an active consignment sale event free and clear of a franchise agreement. Only one primary event ownership membership is allowed per company. Initial Membership Fee $50. Annual Dues are $175 per year. Has access to member contact information. Member has full voting rights.

Secondary Event Owner: Any person who independently owns at least 25% of an active consignment sale event free and clear of a franchise agreement that works with a sale that already has a primary membership in place. One time membership Fee $0. Annual Dues are $25 per year. Member has access to member contact information. Member has voting rights.

Primary Membership PLUS: Any person PLUS up to three secondary persons who each independently own at least 25% of the same active consignment sale event free and clear of a franchise agreement. One time membership Fee $50. Has access to member contact information. All members have full voting rights.

Event Organizers: Any person who manages and/or operates an active consignment sale event free and clear of a franchise agreement but has no ownership interest. Initial Membership Fee $50. Annual Dues are $175 per year. Member has no voting rights. Member has access to member contact info.

Contingent Membership: Offered to any person who is in involved in the process of starting or considering the start up of a consignment event business model without a franchise component. Conversion to another membership category with the start of an active consignment sale would occur upon membership renewal. Initial Membership Fee $50. Annual Dues are $250 per year. Member has no voting rights. Member has access to member contact info.

Industry Partners: Any person who currently offers supplies, services and/or advice to the consignment event industry. Initial Membership Fee $50. Annual Dues are $250 per year. Member has no voting rights. Will be included on vendor page of website. No access to member contact information. 


An active consignment sale is defined as a sale that has hosted an event within the past 12 months.

Memberships follow the person, not a business. There is a transfer fee of $25 to transfer a membership due to change of ownership or management.

If a membership lapse occurs the member is subject to another membership fee in addition to dues payment.

Voting Rights include votes on the following:
1. Who is on the Board of Directors
2. Changes to the Articles of Incorporation and/or Bylaws
3. Approval of a merger with another association or if/when to dissolve the association


How to join the CEA:

1.  Choose your desired membership level and click NEXT.

2.  Fill out all the info on the application and pay the membership fee.

3.  We will confirm your payment and begin your membership (this is a manual process, your patience is appreciated). You will receive a welcome email with your membership info that also includes a link to join our private FB group. It's not required but we do hope you will join us on FB.

4.  Print your paid invoice for your records (sent via email).
